1. Information Collection

Our conversion tools use two processing modes:

  • Browser-based conversions: Markdown to Word, Markdown to HTML, HTML to Markdown, and table conversion tools process document content in your browser unless a tool page states otherwise.
  • Markdown to PDF: Your Markdown content is sent to our PDF rendering endpoint only when you request a PDF. It is processed for the current conversion and the generated PDF is returned to you.
  • No persistent document storage: Our application does not persistently store or log the contents of your source documents or generated files.
  • Local Word output: Markdown source files and generated Word documents remain on your device during the Markdown to Word workflow.

2. Data Processing

  • Browser-based conversions happen on your device, and their converted files are downloaded directly to your device.
  • Markdown to PDF content is handled transiently by the PDF rendering service and is not intentionally retained after the response is produced.
  • External image URLs referenced by Markdown may be retrieved by the PDF rendering service so they can appear in the generated document.
  • For PDF resource protection, a request IP address may be held temporarily in process memory for rate limiting and concurrency control. This operational state expires automatically and does not contain document content.
  • Analytics events do not include the text content of your documents.

3. Analytics Data

We may use tools like Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics, including:

  • Page views
  • User geographic location (country/region level)
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type
  • Conversion feature usage frequency (excluding file contents)

This data helps us improve our service quality.

4. Cookie Usage

We use necessary cookies to:

  • Remember your language preferences
  • Remember your theme preferences (light/dark mode)
  • Provide basic website functionality
  • Collect anonymous analytics data

5. Third-Party Services

We may use the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics (for website analytics)
  • Cloudflare (for content delivery and security)
  • Vercel (for website hosting)

Analytics providers may process usage and device information according to their own privacy policies. Hosting and security providers process technical request data required to deliver and protect the service. When you request a PDF, document content is processed transiently on our hosted PDF endpoint as described above.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical safeguards and minimize the document data handled by our servers. No online service can guarantee zero risk.

  • Browser-based conversion content remains on your device.
  • Generated Word documents are saved directly to your device.
  • Markdown to PDF content is processed only for the requested conversion and is not persistently stored or logged by our application.
  • PDF requests are protected by request-size limits, rate limits, concurrency controls, and restricted external-image handling.

7. Your Rights

  • You can clear browser cookies at any time
  • You can disable JavaScript to stop using our service
  • Your source and converted files remain under your control.
  • You may contact us with questions about personal data associated with the service. Analytics choices and deletion options may also be available through the relevant provider.

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
